  • Transfer Box Oil Change

Anyone know where the filler is for the transfer box. I looked all over last time I did the diffs, but I couldnt find the filler.

you will need to fill it via the atf dipstick tube

I always use the centre pages of magazine (fnarr) rolled into a very thin funnel held together with duct tape. As long as you make the end skinny enough to jam in the dipstick tube it works quite well

Fill it through the level plug 'til it overflows. I have used a big syringe device which put about 250ml in at a go.

Theres a PDF you can download at the roughtrax web site that gives all the oils. Cant remember what I used but it was what the PDF stated. To do both diffs and the transfer box you need 3 different oils.

Anyone know what the difference between hypoid and normal oil is?

Hypoid oil is for high pressure use you will need some 75/90w for the transfer box.
