Not starting.......knocking......m mmmmm

Just bought a 1994 3.0, all I was told was "it just stopped working", anyway I got it back and checked oil, water and timing belt to see if it had snapped which it hadn't so I gave it a little crank and it seems to be knocking top end.

Timing belt skipped a few teeth and valves hitting Pistons?? (Standby Rich Parts maybe needed)

What do you reakon before I rip the head off??

I'm in no hurry to do it as I've still got 2 Surfs to do first before this one, I'm just getting organised.
