What difference does the Intercooler make on the Gen 3 Surfs ?

Performance ? Economy ?

Also what year was the intercooler introduced ?

It gives a bit extra on BHP cant remember how much extra but is not a lot. It probably also gives improved economy but again not by any significant amount.
It was introduced for 1996 model year ( 3rd generation Surfs).
