4wd engagement problems knz 185 auto

Hello - after a lot of investigation it now transpires that the reason my surf wont engage 4wd id because the electric 4wd motor assembly is knackered

Is changing one of these things straight forward and if so where can I get one?

The answers probably no but can they be serviced and made good?

Hi - the part that is defective is the electric motor that sits on top of the tranfer box. The 4wd ecu is OK. Can anyone advise whether the removal of these things is a problem - ie will a load of bearings tumble out when it's removed or will it be difficult to put back etc
