noise on lock

welcome to the forum, its likely to be the steering bump stops need greasing,

also dont full lock it when in 4x4 on tarmac 4x4 is for offroad not tarmac its also not advisable to drive round with it on all the time

Noise on full Lock

Check and see if your tyes are rubbing on the wheel arch as mine did. Had to get the arches moved back slightly but solved the prblem.

My mate has the same problem with his 95 surf 3.0td and he found that the big plates behind the discs to stop brake dust were catching and making a loud twanging noise but im not sure how or iff he has fixed it yet but worth a check.
i would think that if this is the prob then the steering is going further one way than the other????
