  • Urgent Question

Sorry, I know this should be in the technical section, but I need a quick answer.

Can anyone please tell me which pipe the vacuum hose connects to on this valve? It's the valve that is located below the throttle body. I have taken the EGR pipework off and blanked the manifolds whilst replacing my head, and have made a new bracket to hold it in place. Also, I only have one vacuum hose remaining to be connected to this valve so please tell me I have not lost/missed/broken it off!!!!!!

    Many thanks in advance,

    Cheers, Nick

1 goes to the egr valve (flying saucer looking thing) and the other goes up to the top of the engine behing the ally intake tube.

edit - if my hoses are right as this engine has been messed with
    hth.

Thanks mate for taking the pics but I am still not sure from this. The one I have remaining will go to the right hand inlet I think but still not sure about a connection to the other - if there is one!! Like I say, I only have one spare vacuum pipe!!! All of my vacuum pipes are connected correctly, and it's just dawned on me whilst I am typing that this was the one I took off and blanked years ago as the 'easy' EGR mod! I will see what happens once I try and start her up!

      Many thanks again,

      Cheers, Nick

Yeah, mine's a 3.0 Looks like I was right, connected everthing up as I thought, finished putting back all of the airbox system, topped up with water and oil and she fired up on the third attempt, so well pleased

Thanks again for all of your help,

If you have taken off the EGR pipework and blanked the holes, you dont need this either.
Fold the plastic/rubber pipes over and tyrap.
Just leave the bits with wires connected and throw the rest.
