glow plug light

Hi folks, just realised after about 6 months of owning my surf I dont have a glow plug light on my dash..its a 1994 3ltr diesel kzn 130 import. Should I have one as other owners seem to mention they have one???

The glow light simply indicates that current is going to the glow plugs. Obviously you've still got working glow plugs or else the engine wouldn't start, so my guess would be that the bulb is out behind the dash, or that the cable to it is broken/disconnected.

the light will virtually flash on then off again once so if you miss it turn off the ignition and try again but like AD says it could well be the bulb blown
