Evening all.
I own a 95 Surf 1KZTE, 3td. I've recently started to notice from idle there's a very spongy lag from accelerator pedal pressure to engine rev when the truck's in neutral.
It's not so bad when driving, other than some lag going from 1st to 2nd once the truck is moving, but if I'm sitting at lights or an intersection, I can pump the accelerator relatively quickly without any response from the engine - hold it down and it eventually revs, at which point once it's above 1200 RPM or so it responds slightly better.
It comes and goes - usually worse when it's warmed up.
I've tested it at the throttle body under the hood and it's the same as it is at the pedal so I know it's not the system between me foot and the engine.
Does anybody have any ideas or experienced similar problems? It's not affecting the dirvability of the truck hugely at the moment but I don't want to leave it to find more problems cropping up later on.
Any advice is much appreciated,
Gonzo
