Was there not a radiator drop kit with it?

You need to drop your radiator by the same amount.

You have lifted the body, the radiator is fixed to the body.
The engine (and fan) stayed the same. (engine fixed to chassis)
You need to raise the engine or drop the rad.

If the shroud is the same as the 2nd gen it's in two halves. You could just remove the bottom half. A quick fix but should work

after doing some serious searching on the forum I came across a thread that mentioned that.. but without a shroud the fan is next to useless?
doesnt it help create the vacume?

If you read this through, it shows the radiator drop brackets.

cheers for the picture.. im starting to think that is the only way to keep a complete shroud. I havent looked yet, but if its in two parts the I could drop the bottom section a inch or so and keep the top section where it is. But again that might cause problems with the vacume which in turn cause problems with overheating.
                    fun fun fun..

Yeah it's a pain, but don't lose the shroud . you will regret it.

Do it properly and forget it.

I've been running up and down the country towing 3t behind and i haven't got the lower part of the shroud on and have never had a problem with it

The correct way to do it is like you said and thats to fit brackets but there's no harm in just the lower section being off tho
