Steering Bushes/Main dealer parts

Hi guys - i need to replace my "worn steering bushes" and milners apparently don't do them - its a KZN185 and "surprise surprise" I really don't want to have to pay main dealer prices(being a "jobseeker!")
Any tips gratefully received!

Are you talking about the rack bushings.

Another surprise for you - I haven't a clue!! The MOT advice slip says"Steering rack mounting bushes " worn and "NSR half shaft oil seal weeping slightly" - apart from that its all ok (apart from the squeak)I want to get them done b4 I head off to Ireland on Friday.

The steering rack is mounted on 3 or 4 rubber bushes as in the picture, but the only problem is that the only one that you can get is the big D shaped one, and you would have to buy a new rack to obtain the others, so I had to fit that one and use some big washers to compress the others.


Part number for the one available is X T45517-35010 021424/GROMMET,S/RAC £19.25 + £3.37 Vat = £22.62
