Auto Box Problem will it fit

Can anyone tell me if a 2.4 surfs auto box fit into a 3.0td auto???

Help me pleaseeeeeeee.

i dont know for sure,but if you were to use the torque convertor from a 2.4 as well as the bell housing and ecu if it lines up and bolts on and the electrical plugs all go together then i dont see a problem apart from the difference in gear ratios.

2.4 ECU is different. Loom *might* be different.

Transmission details are on the VIN plate. Check both vehicles for a match.

...and once you've done all that go check the part numbers, if they are different forget it. I would love to say give it a go but it wouldn't be ethical, apparently!
