Need a bit of minor advice - minor if you know the answer ha ha. Got a third gen 185. Tickover is running slower than the handbook suggests - 500rpm not 800 rpm. It does not give me a problem. This is my first diesel and haven't a clue how to adjust the idle speed. Any bright sparks know the answer? Should have said bright glow plugs shouldn't I ha - Big Jack

    mornin' m8

my 3rd gen also ticks over at about 500rpm unless I put the aircon on when it comes up to about 850rpm.

I've had it over 4 years and it's always been like that with no probs.

    hope this helps

It can't be adjusted, it's controlled by the ECU. If it's not causing you any bother, why would you want to change it?

By the way, it would have been nice to introduce yourself first...
