OIL LEAK ON CYLINDER HEAD3ltr td KZN130

Hi Just wondering if someone can help, i took my truck to a garage who ive used for the past 5 years with an oil leak,which i thought was coming from the gearbox,They later told me that it was leaking from the cylinder head near the bulkhead,so was hard to locate and had to use a mirror to find it.
I was told it would be about £1800 to repair and that it was a massive job,
I was wondering if any of you guys have had the same problem or know any surf specialist in the newcastle area who i could get a second opinion from.
Looks like my summer camping trips are off.

what side of the block is it? it could be the turbo leaking or if it is the same side as the oil filter there is a drain pipe from the oil catcher where the filter mounts, if its that try and tighten up the filter a bit and see what happens. All of what i have just said might be total shite and iam sure that somone else in the know will be along later

not a huge distance ...you could try Stevo, his add is top right. Many say good things about him!

It'll more likely be the valve cover gasket leaking rather than the cylinderhead. A common problem, they always seem to leak at the back.
Around £12 for a new gasket.

Any idea how big of a job to replace the gasket ?

Within an hour for a novice. Half an hour for a garage easily.
