Selector not illuminating when lights on.

Went to pick the wife up the other night switched the lights on but the selector didnt illuminate, could any one shed some light on this. Pardon the pun.

did you try giving it a little tap? if that fails then the bulb will be out. Mine occasionally needs that technical tap.

There's a small bulb at the base of the gear lever, you'll need to remove the surround to get at it.
