I am going to go at my faulty 4WD. I hardly drive this truck being a bike fan I use my BMW bikes all year round and for all long trips.
The Surf is little more than a run around.
The truck is mint but for the 4WD engagement problem.
All the disco lights are flashing.
They go off for a second when you depress the 4WD button.
The 4 green lights go off when you put the 4wd stick in nutral.
There is no 4WD to the front wheels.
I took off the vacume operated fork on the front axle and checked it. It was ok, i guess this only locks the front axle in low range.
Am I correct in assuming that the 4WD engagment happens at the transfer box?
There is a vacume operated actuator on the back of the transfer box, is this to do with the 4WD?
I disconected the electrics to this but it did not effect the disco lights.
