Head lamps always on

Hello,

As soon as i switch my truck on my head lamps turn on, even with out start the engine. So, when riding and the sunlight reach the head lamps with intensity the lamps automatically turn off and after that when the intensity of the sun goes down lamps turn on again. All of that is happenning with out touch any lights control inside the car. I am confused, it is that normal or do i have come electrical problems?

To be honest it sounds like a posh optional extra.

Not many of us on here have 2000 reg surfs. Its on the face lift 3rd generation so it may well be an extra.

Anyway, i will have a look on the electric system if find something will let you know.

The vehicle probably has a sensor somewhere that controls the lights. It also sounds like it is a little too sensitive and turning on lights when not really needed. Post your Model and Frame numbers and I'll see if I can find where this is.
