KZN185 Glow Plugs - Help!

Hi

I have just bought a 3rd Gen Diesel Surf and when I turn the ignition I don't see a glow plugs warning light on the dash. The engine starts fine though so I don't believe I have a problem other than the bulb may not be working.

Firstly can someone tell me where the light should be on the dash?

Secondly is it easy to fix?

Thirdly, and here is the worrying question, should I be concerned that it doesn't light up. Have I bought myself the wrong surf?

Is it a 3rd Gen surf? If so where is the light on the dash, I don't get a light as far as I can see.

should be on the top right of the dash.

alot of the ltr engines get barely a flicker of the light,if it starts from cold its working

Turn on the Ignition then wait around 5 Seconds everything should be fine

Humm...are you sure you are talking about a 3rd Gen Surf? On the top right of my dash is the fuel gauge.

Thats a relief then. Just out of interest though where would the light be on the dash?

All the warning lights like T-Belt, Battery etc all seem to be underneath the speedo and fuel gauge so where do I need to look?

On my 1996 3rd Gen the GLOWPLUG LIGHT is situated above the ABS light in the Fuel Gauge part of the dash

UPDATE : No need I have found it now, blimey it goes out quick my old Surf used to take a couple of seconds!

unfortunately im a 2nd gen owner,if u cant find it shine a torch at the black parts then u will see it
