    i have used the search facility and did not really come up with anything.

    looking for a roof rack, does anyone know where i can buy get one?

    Halfords or anywhere selling Thule products.
    It'll be listed under 4Runner. They're roof cross-bars by the way. You'll need two bars and two foot packs for vehicles without gutters.

      THULE do roofbars for the surf. I think Roughtrax might have them on their website?

                    the roof bars are the Thule bars so they should be strong and do what you need.I'll post pics of the seats from the breaker and my own seats for you to see also

                        For the specific requirement you have, it may be worthwhile checking Bundubasher's site for info on the one he uses/created. It survived the darkest recesses of Africa, so has a good track record for sturdiness.
