Oil Breather Breathing!!

I'm losing gear box oil from the breather! That to me says that there's too much oil in the gearbox, but I'm pretty sure its bang on. Am I missing something obvious? Cheers. Rich

when you checked the level did you do it while the engine was running as you need too

No!? Hmmm. Engine off. As far as I was aware it should reach the bottom of the access hole on the LHS of the Gear Box?? (Manual)

Change the breather, it's maybe gubbed (is it actually there?).

I did wonder. It's there, it's now sparkling clean, and I have watched it breathing driving around with the gear lever gaitors off. It's just breathing a lot of oil out too.

I'd change it, maybe the inners have perished.
