  • How 2 needed

Right so the truck is re-insured and back on the road, My question is How do I make it more economical I put £25 in on Sunday night and I only got about 60miles to and from work thats only there and back 3times I heard somewhere that the fuel pump can be turned down a bit? and would a service help with the fuel consumption? IE: new filters and heater plugs??

I was at 1st looking into veg oil but wasn't sure if it was easy or not to set up for

    Cheers for any info

    Hi n welcome Buddy,
Nothin to set up ... just chuck it in (Veg Oil)
My advise is small amount at first say 25% eg: 40 ltrs=10 ltrs of Veg to 30 ltrs of Dino.
As it's now Summertime I am using 80% or higher veg oil on long Runs !!!
Oh n get a new fuel filter, change it after a couple of weeks "Fill it with ATF" (as veg tends to drag the dregs up from the bottom of the Tank).
    "I always carry a spare"
Some of us use ATF in the tank as a cleaner, as a rule I bung a litre of ATF in every 6-8 weeks (long trips) or about 12 weeks (short trips)
Hope this helps n good Luck

    ps .
Any info given is my opinion n given in good faith & from my own personal experience, see (Thinking of using Veg Oil) Thread.

There's always a Payback .... Ya just never ever see it Comin !!!!
