  • water pump leak??

    Hi Yall

Put the new rad in mid week..ran luvvly, temperature ok..no leaks.
    UNTIL TODAY
Noticed a slight puddle under truck after work, checked rad for leaks(hoses etc) all fine, lost a bit of coolant in rad, so topped up.
After driving home, when switching off truck, I noticed a steady drip from under it..panic sets in.
Have traced the fluid to above main pulley/crank shaft, which i am assuming is the water pump.
    Have ordered new one today..

Question: easyish to change any tips and advice?

Am getting hot air thru vents ok,when truck is running, so i am assuming the pump has not failed (yet) and the truck wetting himself is because when the engine is not running, the fluid is then static and can find a hole to leak from.

Any advice and donations (ahem) on the money pit are gratefully recieved.

    Thanks
    A suprisingly calm Darren

shouldn't be too bad to do , replace the pump they leak when they are starting to fail....change the cambelt as they don't like antifreeze

Could I get round the cam belt change by flushing the system again.
Have ample supply of R0 water and coolant?
