  • Engine Trouble

I recently took my vehicle into the shop because I was having overheating issues. I basically had the whole coolant system redone, radiator, thermostat, water pump etc. Unfortunitely it was to late and ended up with a cracked head. Spent over $4000.00 in parts+labour upgraded to a 3L head, new valves, timing belt etc.etc.etc...Got it back and it's running worse than before. Idles rough (almost like it's going to stall) loss of power (especially uphill) rmp range is higher at cruisng speed and it blows white smoke at startup and until it warms up to normal operating temp. I really need some help in diagnosing this problem since I'm out of money, out of options and don't want to have to to put my vehicle up for sale.

    Thanks in advance

Just a guess but sounds like the fuel pump timing belt is out a tooth or two. Suggest you send it back to the garage and tell them to sort it.
