I HAVE A 3L TD MANUAL KZN130 ON A N REG
WAS DRIVING WORK LAST NIGHT AND AFTER SELECTING 2nd GEAR IT STARTED TO MAKE A GRINDING CRUNCHING SOUND AND LOST ALL DRIVE IN ALL GEARS INCLUDING REVERSE. TRIED IT IN 4 WHEEL DRIVE AND STILL THE SAME. THE AA MAN SAID MY GEARBOX HAD GONE. IT WILL MOVE A FEW INCHES AND THATS ALL. WHEN I START THE ENGINE IT SEEMS FINE IT STILL SELECTS ALL GEARS BUT THE PROBLEM STARTS WHEN I LET THE CLUTCH OUT. COULD IT BE THE GEARBOX OR THE DRIVE SHAFT LINKAGE TO THE BOX. IT WAS IN 2 WHEEL DRIVE ON 2H AT THE TIME IT HAPPENED
ALSO LAST WEEK THE TIMIMG BELT LIGHT CAME ON AT 200000 KLM.
IS THERE ANYBODY LIVES NEAR WIGAN THAT WOULD LIKE TO EARN A FEW QUID TO HELP SORT THIS PROBLEM OUT FOR ME BECAUSE I CANNOT AFFORD THE GARAGE COST. THEY WANTED £100 PLUS TO CHANGE T.BELT SO GOD NOWS WHAT THEY WOULD WANT TO LOOK AT THE GEAR BOX.
