Towing

Hi what weight can a 3 litre turbo Hilux legally tow ? I have just bought two and I am just new to owning them and I am keen on learning more about them.

If you're talking about a 2nd Gen Surf, 1500kg to 2200kg depending on who you talk to. Personally they tow 2.5 with little dramas, apart from getting hot on hills unless you remove ATF cooler from the main rad and fit an external one.

If not, give us a clue to the truck!!

Just towed 1400 kgs, with a fully loaded boot, bikes on roof, 2 adults ,2 kids, for 320 miles up and down the cornish hills without any problems 3.0 ltr
