  • Head Removal Problem

I'm trying to take the head off my KZN130 and have removed most of the attached parts, but the rearmost (lower) nut holding the intake manifold seems completely inaccessible. It is covered by the loom, and a what looks like an exhaust recirc pipe running round the back of the head against the bulkhead. Any suggestions to remove all three of these would be gratefully received - I can feel a phone call to the scrap man comming on!

Leave all the manifolds on, its far easier.

Ignore Igorshiel, he's pointing you to the 2.4 instructions, the 3.0 is very different.

Cheeky sod, the theory is the same, ie pipes in the way at rear of engine.

            Head removal update

            Hi Guys

Sorry I was away a while. Many thanks for your guidance. I got the head off (with the manifolds) as you say - much easier. Sadly though the problem was a crack between the valves on two of the cylinders, so it's off to the scrappy for this motor. Thanks again for your help.
