  • Best manual - Haynes?

Which is the best manual for the 3.0 diesel engined Surf? There are a few on the Haynes site, but obviously want the right one,

    Cheers, Nick

I have the Aussie 4Runner diesel Haynes manual. Useful- but it doesn't cover the turbo diesel engines which most of us have.

I am looking for the same manual. Cannot find one anywhere.

Also looking for owners manual in English. But isn't everybody.

Keep me posted if you find a manual.

      Regards

If you want the engine manual it's available here:

I got the 1KZ-TE engine manual from www.car-handbooks.com. I don't think they're as good as a specific Haynes manual as the pictures tend to be of poorer quality, but the content is there.

The only Haynes manual available in the UK which seems close to the Surf (i.e. 4 Runner) is this one:

            http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...948604-8060625

However, this does specify that it's more aimed at the US specification

I've got the older version of that book, covers up to 95 stuff, and the Chiltern manual goes from 89-98, good for most things, but you won't find any Diesel info in there.

The Chiltern manual is the better out of the two.

The Max Elley Ozzie manual has the most Diesel info, but is poorly laid out and hard to find stuff, but between these 3, and a Toyota factory manual for the chassis and drive train I can get by OK.
