    hello anyone
    anyone recommend how soon after buying a surf i should think about the first service?is it really important to seal underneath as well?
    i've done about 6000km since it was imported ,checked out and mot'd

    Main service should be every 10,000km but the oil needs changing in between, ie. every 5,000km.
    That's what the Toyota service book says anyway...

    Think this excel spreadsheet has been posted before but here it is again. It's for the Land Cruiser Colorado / Prado which has the same engine as the Surf. Only thing I can see wrong with it is the cambelt change interval - on a Surf it's 100,000km. Have no idea why it's different.

        Shortly after purchase

        Would be worth draining and flushing the cooling system, check your rad cap too.
        Use decent antifreeze.
        Allways worth spraying a little wax oil, nice job
