The repair kits are available from Roughtrax, but, it would seem the neccessary parts are AS cheap from Toyota, and the genuine article of course..The removal of the starter motor is the biggest bug bear, but it WILL come out eventually..

The last starter contacts I got from roughtrax were the genuine parts, the benefit about using roughtrax is they have all the parts together, if you go to Toyota they'll look it up as separate items.

I prefer roughtrax because I don't get some spotty faced numpty looking down his nose at you because you didn't buy a UK spec truck.

anyway back on topic, yes, aparently weak batteries will damage the starter, somthing to do with arching on the contacts aparently, I would concur, it looks like a starter contact problem
