CD Player

Just a quick question, I am going to swap my Japanese tape player(not standard) for a Sony CD/MP3 player, Will I need to order a plug to fit into the Surfs loom, or will there be one fitted to the back of the unit already? I have not stripped the old one out as I want to do it all in the one go as I cant have the car of the road for long.
Any advice really appreciated ASAP.

you will need to get one for it.You can get them from Halfords for about £12 -£15

As the current unit is a non standard one, then you may be lucky and find the adaptor already fitted. If not then you can pick them up fairly easily at Halfrauds etc. for around a tenner.

Cheers lads, I suporse the adapter for the 4 runner is the same? as thats the only one I can find on the sites.

you may need a toyota to sony lead . the sony i fitted wasnt din sockets like most but 1 single plug .this lead can be 25 quid , then you need the other lead which is about 10 quid

Just cut the plug off and stick the wire's in the operate holes then tape it all up thats all I did

Thanks for the help lads, got the dash stripped and new one fiited resonably quick, but the rear speakers and arial did not work... So used an 100Watt amp I had to run the 2 rear speakers that someone had fitted in the rear side panels, but still no arial....finaly found out it was not a standard Toyota fitment had a red and green cable floating around, finaly sorted green was the signal and red the feed conected and worked...sounds the biz as well.
