idle arm bush

has anyone changed the two bushes on the idle arm, coz it aint described anywhere in my manual.

One of my surfs failed the mot on the n/s idler , rather than mess around changing bushes i replaced the whole thing.

Cost me £70 including next day delivery from milners off roading

i changed mine it took 30 mins all in
and im a $$$$ fixer lol
it didnt sort my problem so i ended up putting a new one on from roughtrax it also came with a grease nipple

Just changed mine at the weekend, I was gonna do just the bushes, then figured my usual luck would kick in, and taking into account the state of the rest of the stuff on the surf I decided to get th whole thing from roughtrax.

I did the right thing, coz after I changed it I took the old one apart, and found that the bottom bush was shot (probably) because the spindle/shaft was totally rusted/pitted, so just as well I got complete unit, saved me doing it twice.

Easy job though, once you've found the right size of hammer....ie. BIG
