head & cooling

just done a fitted a new head 3.0td & rad thermostat , when running it up i get good heat from the heaters but cant see water cirulating in the top of the rad , after a run the truck does not overheat or loose water and no gurgling is this normal , should i have changed the water pump? not alot can wrong with one so i don`t see why
