Hi everyone, whilst driving to work the other day i arrived to find oil gushing out of the bottom of my sump. After cleaning it away my freind suggested that it was the "casting hole" a small semicircular hole in the bottom of the sump. Does this sound correct? he said there shoulld be a bung in there to stop the hole, if so where is the best place to order one? any help at all is appreciated. I drive a 3.0 Ltr SSx import.

The only hole on the sump is the oil drain, the sump is pressed steel not cast anyway!
If its not the drain bolt fallen out, then you've hit something thats pierced a hole in the sump.
