Warm Diff Is This Normal

I am having vibration problems when I was checking the propshaft felt the rear diff and it was warm. Should the front diff be getting warm?
Then felt the front diff it was cold.

There's people here with much more mechanical knowledge than I, but I'd expect the rear diff to be warm because it's driving the rear wheels. The front will be cold as it's not applying power to the front wheels unless you are in 4wd.

Its fine, look at any truck when its wet out, and the diff will dry with the heat it generates.

Obviously it shouldn't be glowing cherry red though!!
