Is Dextron II Hydroscopic?

Hi Folks

I have a bottle of Dextron II trans fluid in me shed.
I noticed today that the screwcap is busted.

The question is will the fluid be ok to use?

It was probably damaged when the roof was damaged in the recent high winds.

Any thoughts?

Don't think it is - otherwise the breather on the tranny would cause lots of trouble - especially as peeps leave their ATF in for years on end!
