quick fix

my mate has a slight leak on his power steering hose that feeds from the bottom of the resevior is it ok to joint the hose with a piece of pipe and two jubilee clips for a quick fixs

Pipes from the PAS reservoir to the pump and from the steering box or rack back up to the reservoir will be low pressure and your suggestion would be alright. However pipes from the PAS pump to the steering box or rack will be high pressure so your suggestion would'nt be safe there. Good luck
