  • Misfire or Power strain

    Hi there Lads/Ladetts
    As some of you know i have a new head fitted to me truck,have changed all the fillters/belts.And for good measure ran some WYNNS diesel conditioner through the system.Somehow now iv got what feels like a misfire or power strain when trying to pull away.this happens at around 3rd gear@35/40mph. or pulling away from lights under heavy foot etc....Any ideas lads...Thanks

    you may be pulling air into the fuel system,just run through the fuel system and check all connection are tight.and that the injectors are tight.check the fuel rail washers are new and that its tightened down properly.were the injectors checked when the head was off?is the pump timing correct?check the correct fitment of all the vacum hoses?make sure theres nothing hanging off or missing?hope some of that helps.if not im sure someone will be along later to give more advise.

      Thanks for the info will check Yes all new rail washers done/ new injecters/and rail.also new jubilee clips fitted everywhere.dont like those standard spring clips.

        just thought.is yours manual?you say it feels like a power strain when pulling away.its not your clutch slipping is it.?

                Check both anyway.

                Have you re-set the ECU since replacing that vacuum valve?
