gearbox trouble

just got a call from the misses the truck won't engage gear.

we have had no probs with the box and she drove it last night with no probs. though when you engage drive you get nothing and when you engage reverse you get a whiring sound.
i'm working away at the mo and on the way back so any info would be great.

that will be the smaller gear lever in neutral then..

Check The Small Lever Is Not In Neutral.

I''ve taken a day of work for this
but thinking of this misses and her dad first pushing the truck onto the lawn to get her car out then pushing back onto the drive will keep me smilling for a while thanks again.
