3rd gen with leather seats?

Hi,

after scouring Autotrader & ebay etc I recently bought a 3.0 3rd gen ssrg with leather interior. during my (years of) scouring I have never come across a surf with leather seats.
Does anyone know how mine has leather? Was it even an option in Japan? Was it perhaps imported from another market/country?

PS: the doors linings are also leather.
