whats this suposed to be connected to??

just been nosing under the bonnet and found this connected to the inlet manifold but without any pipe to it....

any ideas?

On mine there is a pipe coming out the top, and it connects underneath the bit just to the left (as seen from that image) with a big electrical plug thing.

Its the turbo pressure sensor, should run better with it connected!! Suprised you don't have the engine check light on.

You'd know. Does it not come on when you first turn the ignition on before you start the engine?

ah, the bottom of the switch where the pipe connects to is snapped off, trying a bit of bodge it at the moment. might be a trip to toyota in the near future!
