Auto gearbox.

Does anyone know what I should approximately expect to pay, for a supply and fit replacement auto gearbox, for my vehicle ?

I paid £280 + carriage + vat just to supply, then £600 to fit. Turned out the fault wasnt the box so I have one sitting in my garage now that you can have for that sort of price if you like. 07775 621578. Or try Find-a-part.

Thanks for the offer Kevin. I'm not sure if I need a new box as yet. Will try fresh oil and cleaning the mesh first.

my old merc had to have a recon auto box in it 5 or 6 years ago, cost a total of £1k all in. A mate had the same (exactly the same box and vehicle, done by the same garage) later in the year and it cost £1.5k!!
