Your Help Once More/ Heater Problem

I have got the standard heater problem with my gen 3, 3.0, 96 plate Surf! All or nothing! I recently had a problem with the batteries and during my poke around have discovered that when the immobiliser was fitted it was stuffed in a gap behind the vent thing on the lower dash! This must have led to the installer ripping out the thermistor bit! I've now found the conection but no thermistor. Went to my local Toyota, They tried to tell me that the problem with the heater was due to the difference in humidity! well I checked behind both ears and they are dry!
is there anyone out there who has :
A- a part no for the bit that I'm on about
B- anyone breaking a gen 3?
C- Magic wand!

The EPC shows a number of Thermistors in the system, I think this might be the one you are referring to
