New UK spek hilux could not indeed pull the skin of a pudd.

A 3 litre kzn 185 surf is said to have 165 but i am not sure.
I used to have a surf me!

      surf spec

      Hi all

I have just bought one ...I have just bought a 1994 3.0TD, I think the spec is 130bhp but 330NM of torque..but its the torque...Considering their size and weight they are surprisingly quick. I have chirped the rear wheels on many occasions pulling out from junctions. You will not be embarrassed they can hold their own, they look good, have a great driving position and you get this strange grin driving one, The cavernous rear will carry more than you need and taxi drivers steer well clear giving you right of way as this Surf tank thing lumbers towards them...

makes me want a cruiser now though!! 6 cylinder 4/2 TD mmmmmmm
front, centre and rear diff locks!!! 3.5 ton towing capacity!

very small boot and load space though compared to 4runner/surf!

Looking at the paint options in those specs, my truck is now Bordeaux/flint from now on, and I won't mention the word burgundy.
                I thank you.

Does that mean the top half is French?

                      Not such a silly idea.

Front, centre and rear differential locks. Looks quite tempting don't it?

I've seen them sell quite cheap too...one went for £1600 last week on E-bay.

                      Another potenial 'mudder' on now:

Dead easy - get an intercooler !

Mine's supposed to be 145bhp I think - the best bit is that there's no mods so the insurance company don't get any extra ...... must admit I'm tempted by the BobBox though ......

Life is too important to take seriously !
