fuel pump noise?
Hi folks I have a 3.0 diesel surf with the electonic control on the engine (1KZTE) car model SSRG.
Whenever i pull away I get a Steady tone Whine from around the passenger well area. I have found if I press a bar against the large fuel pipe running along the chassis I can hear the sound louder. The sound is started when i press the accelerater and some times stops abrubtly, i have changed/ tensioned all drive belts. The questions are , is this normal or do i have a problem and can it be fixed? I have heard there may be a mod you can do to remove this noise on landcruiser colarado's ( same engine). Any advice would be welocome as its driving me nuts.
