  • Fuel Warning Light / Deep Water

I went through quite a deep patch of water on the way to work the other day and the fuel warning light kept coming on for the rest of the 70 mile journey. Am I right to assume this is down to the water I went through and should this happen? Is there anything I can do to stop it, assuming it is down to the deep water. When I say deep I mean only about 4 inches but went through at about 50 mph

The force of the water under your truck may have knocked a wire off the fuel tank sender unit.

It's ok now, perhaps water just got in to the sender unit then? Is there anything that can be done to stop the water getting in, or is it nothing to worry about?

To do anything to it you'll need to drop the tank down. If it's o.k. now, I would just leave it alone.

          OK then, thanks again!

Going to have a look at that noise from the brakes/bearing this weekend. I think the brake pads need replacing so hopefully that's all it is.

          Cheers
