I have a 3lt TD ssrx, P reg - I want to tow a horse trailer - can anyone tell me what tow bar I should buy?

Have had a look round the net but am fast becoming very confused

Short answer, the LWB landcruiser colorado/prado one for the same year will fit (they both use the same chassis).

Tow Bar ??

Try Towequipe, I bought one for my 96 Surf and fitted it myself without any problems. Tow a horse box quite happily with it. Just make sure you give it a coat of decent paint first.
