    Hi newbie!
It's best to get two 750cca or above batteries. They should cost about £45 each.

that would be correct if your car allows for dual batteries. if you plan on hooking up a fridge or any other aux, get 1 deep cycle and 1 battery that does close to 750 cold cranking amps (CCA). anything below that like 450/500CCA will cause your car to blow a puff of smoke on start up due to the glow plugs not getting enough amps.

if you intend on getting a fridge for the car or anything that will drain alot of amps, you will need to get a battery isolator and do a bit of rewiring.
The battery circuit is wired in paralell and the 12v lead that runs from the left of the battery to the right battery, which is suppose to be the aux battery has another lead that runs to the starter motor so whatever you do dont try and isolate that lead that goes over the fan shroud otherwise youll end up creating a short circuit.

one more thing.Try charging your battery with a battery charger first. some batteries may show signs of being on its way out but the only problem is that it wasnt getting a full charge in the first place.
      cheers.

        Single Battery Option

Just purchased a Fiamm battery, 100a/hr and 760 CCA to replace a single battery setup. Fits with a little adjustment to the clamp. Fiamm do two similar batteries (see link to pdf below). As they only had the G28 100 with terminals in the wrong position this meant I had to extend cables to the body earth strap and to the +12v relay box. G28X 100 looks as though it would be a fairly easy swop. All seems ok, price was £49ex vat (think I was overcharged). Battery is supposedly for a 'tractor'. Previous battery was 600CCA and that has always struggled in winter.

Hope this helps and first posting so excuse if verbose.
