  • smoke when idling

sorry for the dumb question fellas, I have tried using the search but can't find what i'm looking for so here it is.....

no matter whether the engine is cold or i've been on a run when I stop and let the engine idle, excessive smoke seems to come from the exhaust. This seems more noticeable at night....can anyone please shed some light on this for me..???

    TIA Darren

Fristly what colour is the smoke.
Usually black/sooty smoke is nothing major and down to mixture. eg blocked air filter.
If blue then usually burning oil and if white burning coolant....but in this cold weather u will see more smoke as the warmer exhaust gases condense. This is more noticable mornings and evenings when the temp is lower.
    BEWARE OF THE REAPER
