i have 265x70x15 tyres on 15x7jj rims but i need a new set and have been told that 31x10.50x15 are the same size is this correct. if not what is the correct size and could i use a different size on these rims. also what type of tyre would be suitable for road driving and a little off road at the weekend.

    cheers

my origional tyres were the same size, and on the same wheels as yours.i'd also been asking those same questions regarding 31 inchers..all terrain, mud terrain, whick make ect..then, events conspired to hasten my decision..punctures..after a couple of sleepless nights, and much searching on the forum, i did this..

i called roughtrax, and ordered 4 goodrich mud terrains..that was a week or so ago..they cost me 84.99 a piece, and for 15 quid, they were delivered to my local fitters., who, for 40 sheets, attatched my truck to them..they look fantastic, the drive is superb, they fit the arches a treat, and make no more than a gentle hum on the road..am i chuffed with them? oh yes..by the way, they are 31x10:50x15's..

another option that would be a superb choice would be the goodrich all terrain's in the 31 inch..roughtrax are currently knocking them out at 69:00 quid a piece..i went for cosmetic impact, and i'm over the moon with my choice..your decision would probably be based on practicalities, you won't go wrong with the a/t's..
