4 runner M reg alarm system

I have recently upgraded to a 4 runner M reg 3L manual

It has a toyota spec alarm with it and a key fob.

the bat in the fob is flat at the moment. does it work remote locking or just the alarm??

It's the toytoa standard fit one.
