  • T-Belt Light

My timing belt light has just come on at 70,000 miles.
My question is , Is that correct or what millage should it come on at ?
    It was changed at 56K.

On the front of the timing belt casing on my 3.0L it states (in Jap) to be changed at 100,000kms(roughly 70,000miles). Maybe when it was changed at 56k the ECU wasn't reset so it doesn't know the belt has been changed. Thats what I was told when it happened to me. My T-Belt was changed at 84,000kms(when it was imported) and it came on again at 92k. I took it to Toyota in Aberdare and thats what they said. They confirmed that the belt looked as if it had been changed and done whatever to turn off the T-Belt light. HTH

They probably never reset the light, its a bugger to do on the 3rd gens if you don't own a Toyota garage! the dash needs to come out and a little screw moved into a different hole.

      (The milage is correct)

Well, hopefully it's a sign that it hasn't been clocked!

Is their any info on how to do it anywhere? I had the clocks out on my 2nd Gen and are quite good with Jigsaw puzzles
I might even go blue at the same time with the dash in bits.
